The Rwanda Youth in Agribusiness Forum and the FAO Rwanda on July 30, 2025, conducted vertical farming training for RYAF members. The participants were divided into two cohorts, with a total of 39 youth agripreneurs training across both cohorts.
Young agripreneurs trained in sustainable urban agriculture by practical means, some by vertical farming. Attendees gained hands-on experience in the design, installation, and management of vertical farming systems to enhance their agribusiness competitive advantage. Dieudonne Haragirimana, one of the participants who attended, says, “Proud to have been a part of this training, it was so an impactful training organized by RYAF and FAO/Rwanda”.
During these 3 days, I had the opportunity to get hands-on experience on Vertical Farming, a potential solution for sustainable future farming in many parts of the world. I’m Grateful and I am going to Use These things I’ve Been Taught, and help revolutionize farming in our area. Thanks to everyone who made it to this invaluable training. to last in our memories back at home for this invaluable training, it is now our turn to join hands to make a difference in vertical farming.

The objectives of this training were to empower youth with practical skills, tackle market gaps, and boost competitiveness.
